Mary Michael

Mary Michael, BS

Mary Michael NAMI Mercer County Board

Joined the Board: 2021

Connection to Mission: On a personal level, Mary served as a care partner for her late husband, who lived with PTSD, MDD and substance abuse disorder. Professionally, Mary is a champion of the patient voice, a mental health advocate with unique experience to influence strategic change. Mary's goal as a Board member would be to help connect NAMI Mercer's programs to people in the community who need them.


Professional Experience:
Vice President of Patient Advocacy and Stakeholder Management at Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc., Nine years with Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in Opinion Leaders and Advocacy Relations, 13 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb in a variety of positions  

Education:  BS in Biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and graduate of Singularity University  

Affiliations: Board Member - Sozosei Foundation (2019-present), Anxiety and Depression Initiative (2019), Scientific Advisory Board, Dementia Action Alliance (2016), Pennsylvania Cardiovascular Health Consortium (PCHC) (2001)
