Coping with Trauma Support Group
Have you experienced trauma that continues to wield an influence in your life and relationships?
Trauma is often misunderstood and more common than we think. It can happen like a “bolt out of the blue” or gradually over time. No two people experience an event or situation in exactly the same way—so what is traumatic for one person may not be for another. Anxiety, depression, and feelings of helplessness are commonly associated with trauma, and can be a factor in many mental health challenges.
The goal of this group is to give those with childhood and/or adult trauma a forum to voice their experience, rebuild trust, find hope, and better cope with trauma. It is not intended to replace professional treatment.
Fostering healing through peer support
Peer support is a transformative approach to trauma healing that is rooted in empathy, shared experiences, and mutual respect. By connecting with others who have navigated similar paths, individuals find a safe and non-judgmental space that effectively breaks the cycle of isolation and builds lasting resilience. This collaborative environment fosters a deep sense of belonging and provides practical hope, proving no one has to walk the journey toward healing alone.
