Families Meeting the Challenge of Mental Illness
Neurofeedback is a safe, gentle, non-drug way to help the brain function more effectively and efficiently. People feel better as their brain patterns improve. “First we perform a mini EEG and then create a treatment plan to improve the brain patterns we see,” says Judy Prichason, Director of the New Jersey Institute for Neurofeedback. People either listen to music or watch TV. “We fade the music or TV in coordination with the brain’s waves. This gives the brain many opportunities to make new patterns. As the brain makes better patterns, the music or TV clears up and how they feel changes.” Over repeated sessions, according to Judy, this change becomes the brain’s new normal. Join us to learn more!
