Sharon Joag, MSW, LSW, DPM

Joined the Board: 2025

Connection to Mission: Sharon has carried with her a deep commitment to community service and its far-reaching effects since she was in high school, taking every opportunity to give back to her community. More recently Sharon has been involved with NAMI’s Harvest of Hope Committee, as well as the Healing Center Care Committee at Oaks Integrated Care. She has continued her commitment to wellness at work by starting and leading a bi-weekly meditation session for staff at Oaks Integrated Care where she is working as a psychotherapist.

Sharon has also led two group sessions for Mental Health Awareness Month for all clients at the Oaks facilities. NAMI Mercer’s mission “to empower families and individuals affected by mental illness” aligns closely with Sharon’s personal values and professional goals. She is eager to bring her creative instincts and professional expertise to mental health, help advance NAMI’s mission and support the board's strategic initiatives.
