Connection to Mission: Nadira demonstrates compassion for those living with mental health challenges and passion for teaching others about the obstacles this population faces. She has over twenty-five years’ experience in mental health community-based organizations working with youth and adults living with mental illness, caregivers, faith-based leaders, and healthcare providers. Her goal for becoming part of NAMI Mercer’s board is to break the stigma around mental illness and raise awareness in marginalized and faith communities throughout Mercer County. She is committed to assisting NAMI Mercer obtain the necessary funding to grow and expand.


Professional Experience:
Clinical Supervisor at Oaks Integrated Care; Psychotherapist and EMDR Specialist at Mindful & Multicultural Counseling; Lead Pastor at Yielded Vessels Fellowship; Executive Director at Haven of Hope Counseling and Wellness; Founder & CEO of Vessels of Praise, Inc.

Education: MS Counseling, Cairn University; BS Theological Studies, Cairn University; A.A.S Business Administration, Mercer County College.

Affiliations: Board Member, Recovery Advocates; National Association for Addiction Professionals; American Counselors Association.
