Connection to Mission: Nadira demonstrates compassion for those living with mental health challenges and passion for teaching others about the obstacles this population faces. She has over twenty-five years’ experience in mental health community-based organizations working with youth and adults living with mental illness, caregivers, faith-based leaders, and healthcare providers. Her goal for becoming part of NAMI Mercer’s board is to break the stigma around mental illness and raise awareness in marginalized and faith communities throughout Mercer County. She is committed to assisting NAMI Mercer obtain the necessary funding to grow and expand.
