DESCRIPTION:NAMI Family-to-Family is a free\, 8-session educational program for family\, significant others and friends of people with mental health conditions. It is a designated evidenced-based program. This means that research shows that the program significantly improves the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to a person with a mental health condition. \nNAMI Family-to-Family is taught by NAMI-trained family members who have been there\, and includes presentations\, discussions and interactive exercises. \nRegistration required. Space is limited to 10 people.

In his presentation\, My Story: From Pain to Purpose\, Zak will honor his father\, beloved actor Robin Williams\, and will share his own journey of recovery. Zak is a mental health advocate and a supporter of initiatives and campaigns seeking to remove stigma and address the challenges associated with mental health issues. There are additional workshops scheduled throughout the month of October. There is no charge to participate but registration is required.
