DESCRIPTION:Do you hear voices? If you do\, you are not alone. More than 25 percent of all persons with serious mental illness experience unusual perceptions. For some\, the presence of voices can be distracting. For many\, they can be tormenting. Critical\, harsh\, and commanding voices can overwhelm a person to the point of despair\, disrupting work efforts\, home life\, and personal peace. Finding a safe place where you can talk freely about your experiences and seek to understand and grow from them can make a positive difference. \nMeeting (outdoors) in person until the end of August at the NAMI Mercer Center. \nCall 609.799.8994. by 10 am the day of the meeting to confirm your attendance using your first name and phone number. \nA minimum of 2 attendees will be required for the group to meet.

DESCRIPTION:Description: In this presentation\, Becky Wong\, MBA\, PharmD\, will review the multifaceted and dynamic factors that contribute to risk and explore prevention strategies focused on reducing stigma and discrimination. \nBecky Wong PharmD\, MBA is the New Jersey Senior Medical Science Liaison at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development and Commercialization \, Inc. Her field-based specialty is in Neuroscience. Wong earned her B.S. in Biology and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and Master of Business in Healthcare Administrative at Drexel University LeBow College of Business. Her pharmacy experience includes practice in community\, academia\, and hospital settings for more than 8 year and 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She had direct experience with patients\, patient care providers\, management care companies\, and medical affairs operations. \nThis meeting will be held virtually.
