DESCRIPTION:Do you hear voices? If you do\, you are not alone. More than 25 percent of all persons with serious mental illness experience unusual perceptions. For some\, the presence of voices can be distracting. For many\, they can be tormenting. Critical\, harsh\, and commanding voices can overwhelm a person to the point of despair\, disrupting work efforts\, home life\, and personal peace. Finding a safe place where you can talk freely about your experiences and seek to understand and grow from them can make a positive difference. \nMeeting in person at the NAMI Mercer Center. \nCall 609.799.8994. by 10 am the day of the meeting to confirm your attendance using your first name and phone number. \nA minimum of 2 attendees will be required for the group to meet. \nDue to COVID-19 MASKS are REQUIRED.

SUMMARY:Family to Family
DESCRIPTION:Family to Family is an 8-session educational program for family\, friends and significant others of adults with mental health conditions. The class\, offered at no cost\, is designed to increase knowledge and understanding\, and help participants become better advocates for their loved ones while maintaining their own well-being. The Spring 2022 class will be held in-person on Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 9 pm\, April 21 through June 9 at the NAMI Mercer Center. Registration is limited to ensure space for safe social distancing. We prefer participants be fully vaccinated; masks will be optional unless mandated otherwise by the state. Everyone is expected to be respectful of others’ health and safety. If you are not feeling well or have been exposed to COVID -19\, please refrain from coming to class.
