NAMI Mercer's 11th Annual Night Out with NAMI was a fabulous success. The evening featured an exquisite concert by American Songstress, Ann Hampton Callaway. Guests enjoyed the music, a live and silent auction and a delicious dinner catered by Main Street of Princeton.

We thank all the sponsors, the patrons, the attendees and donors, and extend special thanks to the fantastic committee led by Karen Schotland for their hard work.

Families Meeting the Challenge of Mental Illness

One family in four has a member with mental illness.  Mental illness affects people of all ages, races, ethnicities, and socio-economic levels.

In any given year, 5 million adults and 7.5 million children in America experience mental illness.

Mental illnesses are no different than other illnesses. Just as diabetes is a disorder of the pancreas and anemia a disorder of the blood, mental illnesses are brain disorders that interfere with managing the everyday demands of life.

Many people from all walks of life have encountered mental illness. Getting help is the right thing to do. NAMI Mercer provides help in a sensitive, respectful way.

Close.

Mental illness is treatable. With a combination of medication, psychosocial treatments, and support from family and others, recovery is highly probable.

Most people in treatment for serious mental illness realize significant reduction of symptoms and improved quality of life.

NAMI Mercer is a grassroots organization of family members and mental health consumers. We inform ourselves, support one another, and advocate for recovery for all who live with mental illness.
